South Korean actress Lee Young-ae, who gained widespread popularity for her role in the television drama "Dae Jang-geum," plans to open a chain of coffeehouses in several Asian countries. The actress, who turns 37 next month, will likely open coffee shops in China, Japan and Thailand, a report in the Wen Wei Po newspaper quoted a confidant of Lee's as saying. Lee will officially announce her new business after she maps out all the details, her friend said. The news report also said that Lee will offer Korean food in her coffeehouses to popularize the culinary customs of her country. Lee plays a chef-turned-physician in the phenomenally popular "Dae Jang-geum" TV series. The show aroused a wave of Korean food lovers when it aired in China in 2005. In October this year, action-film superstar Jackie Chan launched his own restaurant chain, Jackie Chan's Cafe, in China, Singapore and Malaysia.

(Dân trí) - Nữ diễn viên Hàn Quốc Lee Young Ae, người từng nổi tiếng khắp châu Á sau sê-ri phim truyền hình “Nàng Dae Jang Geum”, dự định sẽ mở một loạt cửa hàng cà phê tại các quốc gia châu Á.
Nữ diễn viên 37 tuổi này tiết lộ, thị trường đầu tiên mà cô muốn nhắm tới chính là Trung Quốc, Nhật Bản và Thái Lan. Ngoài cà phê, các khách của “nàng Dae Jang Geum” còn có cơ hội thưởng thức những đồ ăn thật ngon và lạ của xứ kim chi.
Lee Young Ae tiết lộ, cô rất muốn giới thiệu văn hoá ẩm thực của quê hương mình tới đông đảo khách hàng trên toàn thế giới. Trước Lee Young Ae, một ngôi sao khác của châu Á - nam diễn viên Hồng Kông Thành Long cũng tự bỏ vốn mở một loạt cửa hàng đồ ăn nhanh tại Trung Quốc, Singapore và Malaysia, hồi tháng 10 vừa rồi.
